To all Houstonians: How do I get from the International airport to the Greyhound station, at night

To all Houstonians: How do I get from the International airport to the Greyhound station, at night?
My flight arrives in Houston at 10:30 PM on a Sunday, and I need to get to Fort Worth, probably by Greyhound...but I dunno how to get to the Greyhound station D: Is there a shuttle, or a bus, or a magic dolphin that can take me there? Please let me know if so! (cabs are a little too expensive for me) Thanks! :D

Metro has a bus route that will take you pretty close to the Greyhound station, but it does not run that late at night. http://www.ridemetro.org/Services/airport_direct.aspx It seems like a lot of trouble and expense to to take a taxi and then a long bus ride to Fort Worth. You are already at the airport just hop on a plane to Dallas Fort Worth Airport.

Unfortunately there aren't many options at night. Basically it's the taxi. I'm sorry. It's probably still cheaper than a flight between the two cities.

I was going to suggest a cab but Metro does have a service called Airport Direct. Its $15 and it will take you from the airport to there hub which is about a block over from the bus station. I will admit though Sundays downtown are pretty empty but there are lot of the wrong kind of people down there on Sunday nights (homeless, drug dealers, hustlers, etc.) and a lot of them hang near the bus station, the McDonald's near the station and under the freeway. Good luck. the website is ridemetro.org and use the airport direct link for more info

Can I bring Tim Horton's donuts on a plane into the US

Can I bring Tim Horton's donuts on a plane into the US?
I'm a Canadian flying to DFW (Dallas Fort Worth), and my friend wants me to bring him some Timbits. Am I allowed to bring these on the flight? Or allowed to bring them through US security before I get my luggage? I'm a Canadian flying to DFW (Dallas Fort Worth), and my friend wants me to bring him some Timbits. Am I allowed to bring these on the flight? Or allowed to bring them through US security before I get my luggage? Also can I have link that legally says I can?

yes you can bring. but you have to pack in your luggage. you can't carry in. My family brought food stuff from abroad, and they had no problem at all. Good Luck and don't forget to send me some... :)
2 :
Perishables are not allowed in carryon bags, and I don't think it would be wise to stick Tim Horton's donuts in checked luggage the entire way. You can choose to buy Timbits after having gone through security at the airport; you may carry it onboard then for the flight to DFW. Most major Canadian airports will have a Tim's inside security.

Both answers thusfar are incorrect -- there are no prohibitions against either boarding an aircraft with donuts or other baked goods, nor are they prohibited from being imported into the US. (The link below, most specifically, deals with the importation of food into the US -- there are no listed restrictions on baked goods. Their concern is primarily with meats or fruits/vegetables.) The benefit to purchasing them inside security, if your airport has a Tim Hortons on the US side of security, is that they'll likely be fresher when they arrive into DFW, but if you have to buy them before security or buy them before you get to the airport, you're not going to get hassles from anyone (except maybe from a scanner who jokes around with you, thinking that you've brought them breakfast). Keep in mind, though, that if you buy them before you go through US Customs, that you'll want to declare them (as you would any other item).

I need a flight to Dallas for A-kon

I need a flight to Dallas for A-kon?
I have looked for days to find an affordable flight to Dallas, Texas for the A-kon Convention (largest Anime Convention in the US.) Last night I finally found one but then when I went back the next day to book it, I couldn't find the flight. If anyone can find me this flight, one cheaper, or a cheap plane ticket/hotel site I would be very greatful. This means so much my sister and I. The website was Expedia We would leave from CHS on May 28 We would make a connection to Chicago, then go to Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW.) We would stay at the Days Inn Texas Stadium Irving The Convention is at 400 Olive St. We would leave June 1. Go from DFW to Washington DC, the CHS. There will be 3 people going, My father, my sister and myself. Ages are adult, 12 and 14. Most important! The flight I found was 901 for flight and hotel. It needs to be under 1000 dollars.

Try www.travade.com or bookmark them for the future. Hope that helps.

I did some searching and found flights under $900. I would recommend checking out BookMe dot com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck!

You might try Southwest Airlines.... They are usually fairly price and cheap. However, you have to change planes either in Okahoma City, Houston, or New Orleans that will take you to Love Field in Dallas, Texas....much closer to the A-KON Convention than DFW Airport. Also, for hotel in Downtown Dallas it is going to be a bit expensive. However, there are low price Motels/Hotels that are along the northern part of Dallas next to the DART Rail line, which takes you to the Pearl Station next to the hotel where A-KON is located. - - - - - - P.S. I will be working as a volunteer at the A-KON again this year. In case you are interested.

Because air fares in the USA ricochet up and down like a ping pong ball, you have to keep checking websites regularly and then book the flight the instant you see a good fare. It might not be there in the next 10 minutes if you don't!

Cheapest flight from DFW to JFK

Cheapest flight from DFW to JFK?
I need some help on finding a cheap ticket from Dallas Fort Worth (Texas), to John F. Kennedy (New York). I'm 16 years old, and i'm hoping to visit some of my family for my summer break from school for my birthday. I would like to leave June 8th. I would like to return to Texas in July sometime. The latest I can stay is around July 31 [give or take a couple of days]. I would like to at least be in New York until July 20th. It is really difficult for me trying to find a cheap flight. I'm try to scrape up enough money to do this, but it is very difficult right now. If you could let me know what flights are cheaper, I would really appreciate it! Thank you very much.

Try American Airlines. Make sure you check different dates, the price may be lower on some days than others. Other airlines to check are Delta Airlines and US Airways One website that you may also want to check is kayak.com Good luck!
2 :
just ask yahoo travel. yahoo will find you the best fare.
3 :
I use kayak.com for the best fare. It's really conclusive and checks all the major, and some small, airlines, as well as many other travel websites.

I just went to LGA and back on Airtran for about $180 round trip (why JFK in particular?). You have to go via Atlanta, but that's no big deal--just leave a couple hours in between flights, If you reallly want the cheapest flight, even though you have to get up before the sparrows do: June 10th to LGA 100/362 6:45 AM 4:21 PM 1 stop $79 July 20th to DFW 422/109 5:59 PM 12:37 AM 1 stop $79* (plus taxes) You can also check Newark...quick train ride into Manhattan Penn Station for $17, I think! you might also want to sign up for "fare alert" on airfarewatchdog.com Good luck....
