What to do on connecting flights

What to do on connecting flights?
This is my first time on a connecting flight, and I'm a tad worried that I'll do something wrong and miss the plane. All with American Airlines, I'm coming from Charlotte, NC to Dallas/Fort Worth...stay at DFW for 1 hour and 40 minutes, then get on the connecting flight to Ontario, CA. Will that be enough time to make the switch? Speaking of making the switch...How do I? Do I have to go through another security checkpoint? Any info would be great! Thanks. =] What about my luggage? Will I have to mess with checking it in again, or does it automatically get on the next plane?

If your plane is on time, or even half an hour late, you'll be fine. It's a big airport, but there is a tram that goes between the terminals. As you land, the Ontario gate will probably be announced. If not, there will be monitors all over the place with a list of the gates. You will NOT have to go through security. Once inside the gate area, you just walk between gates. You'll be fine!

Oh, don't worry about it, you'll be just fine and you won't miss anything. And yeah, you'll probably have to go through another checkpoint. In the meantime, have fun flirtin' with somebody lol ;)

That will be plenty of time! American operates from 2 or 3 terminals in DFW but you may be very lucky to find your first and second flight are in the same terminal; if not, there is a train to take you between terminals. It runs every 6 minutes or so and takes about 10 minutes to go between A and E. A map of the terminal and info about the shuttle train is at the link below. If you do not exit the security area, you will not need to re-clear, so just hop on the train if you need to change terminals and you will be just fine. Don't worry about getting info on the connection flight gate number till you arrive. If you get a gate number when you leave Charlotte, it is pretty possible that the gate will change while you are inflight. Just check the monitor when you arrive at DFW or ask the gate agent for current gate assignments.

will I pay thru the nose for sameday flight

will I pay thru the nose for sameday flight?
I wanna know is it worth it to wake up early and try to get on the first flight outta jfk(or Philly) to Fort Lauderdale THIS Saturday ? I would see if people missed their flight and try and purchase that seat at the last minute? Has anyone done this during peak season? How did it work for you?

There are some really great last minute airfares these days. This week I needed to fly 1200 miles and was able to buy a one way ticket online for $194, including fees and taxes. For the rock bottom price, buy your ticket at least fours hours in advance. Some airlines won't list the flight or price online if your flying in less than four hours. Frontier airlines only required a 2 hour advance purchase to book online, saving me the $25 fee for speaking to a live person. I would suggest that you go to http://www.bestfares.com and get the flight you want now. It will NOT get any cheaper if you wait until Saturday morning. I did a web search and "bestfares" price was even less than the airlines own web site. P.S. Southwest airlines has a sale going on right now. It requires two weeks advance purchase, but your trip would be under $99 each way. I hope this helps you.

You almost always will pay more if not a lot more by just showing up at the airport on the day you want to travel. Since you know you want to go next Saturday, start checking fares on websites like Kayak.com, Travelocity, Cheaptickets and other similar websites as well as the websites of the airlines who fly that route. There are some great fares out there these days, but you'll most likely not get one by just showing up at the airport on the day you want to travel.

How can I get a good deal on airplane tickets from the U.S.A. to Brazil

How can I get a good deal on airplane tickets from the U.S.A. to Brazil?
I'm looking for plane tickets for 6-8 people from the U.S.A. (preferably West Coast) to Recife, Brazil. Our trip in July is completely subjective to the price we find; we're hoping to be there from the second week of July to the fourth week, with at least one full week (Sunday to Sunday) in Recife. I've found that LAX and Dallas-Fort Worth have the cheapest flights, and even though most go through Miami, I can't find a cheaper price from Miami. So far, the cheapest price I've found is about $1200 with all the fees. I'd be happy with anything under $1000. How can I get myself a good deal?

I am currently searching your itinerary for 6 adults from Los Angeles to Recife, Brasil. The cheapest I found for each person was $1,330. What you found was cheaper, so I suggest booking it soon. Have a great trip!

One thing to remember is everyone has a different idea on what is "cheap".....and many of those well-known "major" travel sites are owned by the same company, which means normally not much differences in their prices. And the problem with just checking those sites only, is you might miss out on great deals that may be available on another travel site! You have to think of these online travel sites like grocery stores or gas stations - they all sell the same thing, the only difference is their price. SO - Why pay more for the same thing the other guys are selling??? I suggest trying this online travel site to see if they any deals available: www.everydaytravelconnections.com Hope this helps!
